Forrest Plumbing and Heating is a family-run independant plumbing and heating company. We are established as local Plumbers specialising in the installation, maintainance and servicing of all boilers. Our services also include Gas safety checks, central heating system upgrades, installing more effecient radiators and Air source heat pumps.
We are plumbers who always think and plan ahead. The question we are always asking ourselves is 'How can we make this easier for the next person who comes along to work on it?'. We attend alot of jobs where poor workmanship has led to us having to redo stuff that was previously. This isn't good for us and it isn't good for the customer, so we make it our number One priority to ensure our work never has to be changed. We also like to plan ahead of the game aswell, so during our initial discussion about what you require, we will make it a point to discuss future proofing plans. For example, installing bigger pipe work where possible so that in the future, should you wish to switch your boiler out for an Air Source heat pump, your pipe work should already be big enough. further to that, bigger pipe work means a better flow rate for your central heating system, which means your home will heat up faster, which means you save money on your gas bill!
Over the past years we have installed many boilers of different manufacturers and the one we love the most is Vailant! From the outside, their casing is clean, white and unobtrusive. The user controls on the boiler are simple to use and very easy to understand. The noise level of a Vailant boiler is very low, you would barely even realise its on! They're even Quite Mark accredited! For us, the best bit is that everything inside the boiler is easy to maintain. If a part needs replacing, it's simple to access and we don't need to take the whole boiler apart to change somthing as simple as a sensor! This means a job which could take all day on a different brand boiler, could be done in as little as an hour on a Vailant boiler!
We're going greener!
We want to help look after our planet! That is why we are dedicaited to teaching our staff and customers the best and most effecient ways to heat your home! We're undertaking courses at the moment to understand new, more effecient controls for heating your home. For example, most recently we've done the Vaillant SensoComfort training course. This handy boiler setup does many things so you barely even have to touch it! It comes with an outside air temptrature sensor that measures the outside air tempreature and feeds this information back to the boiler. The boiler then decides how hot to heat the water, so that the boiler doesn't over use the gas. It's kind of like driving your car, If you constantly accelerate with your foot to the floor, you burn much more gas that if you were to accelerate gently!
We're also starting to install Air Source Heat pumps now! These can help you save huge amounts of money off your gas or electric bills when installed correctly! These are beginning to be installed in all new build homes and we believe this is where the future is going! They're more expensive than a traditional boiler upfront, but at the moment the gouvernment are giving grants to people who have these installed.
